I have been making some version of these bliss bites for years.
They started as a school lunchbox solution, evolved into a 3pm fridge emergency fix, and somewhere along the way became the thing people ask me to bring to every gathering I am invited to. I take this as a compliment.
I also take it as a hint that I should probably always make a double batch.
They are rich, fudgy and satisfying — made from things that are actually good for you. Dates, prunes, nuts, peanut butter, desiccated coconut, raw cacao. And then a coat of dark chocolate, because we are not completely sensible about everything.
No oven. No baking. About 15 minutes of effort and then the freezer does the rest.
This is your new answer for when you want something sweet in the house that you can eat at 7am and feel absolutely fine about.
