I’m a dedicated home cook who loves sharing my passion for food with others. Music inspires me, MasterChef entertains me, and creating meals that bring comfort gives me joy.
I began cooking at 17, with only one recipe under my belt — golden syrup dumplings from Home Ec. Wanting to eat more than noodles and toast, I taught myself to cook using magazines, cookbooks, and friends’ advice. That curiosity grew into a lifelong love of home-cooked meals and nourishing food.
I have three grown sons who all love to eat. My eldest son is a self-proclaimed food critic and thinks he holds a degree in Gastronomy. My youngest son is a meat lover and isn’t a fan of vegetables, but I’ve found ways to get creative in the kitchen, and he has surprisingly come to love pomegranate in his salads. My middle son has intellectual and physical disabilities and was diagnosed young with Fructose Malabsorption. Later, I was diagnosed with lactose intolerance myself. These experiences led me deep into the world of FODMAPs and dietary restrictions — today, catering to complicated food requirements is one of my specialties.
Some of my favourite memories happen around the dinner table, sharing stories and meals. I’m passionate about helping and mentoring others, and I find real joy in seeing people thrive and reach their personal goals.
